Flying Blue XP Calculator
Flying Blue awards Experience Points (XP) per flight segment based on distance band and cabin — not on fare. A short international hop in Economy earns a handful of XP; long-haul Business or First earns many times more. Domestic flights within France and the Netherlands earn at a lower rate.
Enter your route and cabin below for the exact XP, whether you fly Air France, KLM or another SkyTeam partner.

Flying Blue status tiers
| Tier | XP required (cumulative from zero) |

| Silver | 100 |
| Gold | 280 |
| Platinum | 580 |
XP resets by the tier cost on each tier-up; up to 300 XP rolls over annually.
Frequently asked questions
- How is Flying Blue XP calculated?
- XP is awarded per segment from a grid of distance bands crossed with cabin class. The route's great-circle distance sets the band; the cabin sets the rate within it. Domestic flights within France and the Netherlands earn a reduced Economy rate compared with international short-haul.
- Does Flying Blue XP reset when I reach a tier?
- Yes — Flying Blue uses a reset model. When you qualify for a tier, your XP counter resets and you start earning toward the next level (or requalification) from zero. This calculator's tier ladder shows the cumulative XP needed from a standing start.
- Do partner flights earn XP?
- SkyTeam partner flights credited to Flying Blue earn XP using the same distance-band and cabin grid. Enter the operating carrier in the calculator to see the exact figure.
