Status matches, challenges and fast tracks

Elite status you already hold can often be carried across. These are the published offers we hold — who runs each one, what it costs, how long you have to apply, and how long the status you get actually lasts. Those last two are different clocks, and we never merge them.

What will my status get me?

Pick the programme and tier you hold now. We will show every published route out of it, and say plainly where a publisher’s wording leaves the answer uncertain.

Every offer we hold

15 live offers, each read from its own published terms on the date shown. Fees are the operator’s own and change without notice.

Accor Live Limitless (ALL)

Fast track
Apply1 January 2026 – 31 December 2026
Status grantedSee the published ruleCalendar-anchored, not rolling — section 8.3: "Once a Linked Member attains Silver or Gold status within the ALL Loyalty Programme, they will retain such status for the balance of that calendar year and for the next calendar year." The trigger is the first Eligible Stay (section 8.4). The same partnership therefore grants a calendar-anchored span in this direction and a rolling twelve months in the other — the clearest example on record of why the granted clock cannot be normalised.
  • Run by Accor and Qatar Airways (ALLxQATAR Cross Rewards)
  • Cost Free
  • No residence gate published
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Repeat Granted only once; not renewed.

Limits 2026 band, section 8.5: 6,600 ALL Silver and 3,100 ALL Gold fast tracks; a hard stop once exhausted, not a waitlist.

1 source programme across 2 published routes. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

Air France / KLM — Flying Blue

Status match
ApplyNo published deadlineOpen-ended — the operator may withdraw it without notice.
Status granted12 months from approval"If approved, the Status Match upgrade is valid for 12 months. To retain your status past this date, you must re-qualify based on meeting the published status programme requirements on flyingblue.com."
  • Run by statusmatch.com
  • Cost Two LIVE regions only.
  • Not open to UK residents
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Repeat Per-campaign cap of one ("Only 1 status match per person will be permitted under this campaign matching to Platinum, Gold or Silver tiers") plus a forward lifetime bar ("Members that are approved for a Status Match will not be eligible for any potential subsequent Status Match with Flying Blue").

Where Region-scoped, and the UK is in NO table — not live, not recently ended, nowhere. France and the Netherlands are likewise absent from every region table; that is an absence, NOT a published exclusion. Seven further regions have migrated under a "Recently ended offers" heading and are deliberately not encoded.

Limits "limited in number of matches and time frame at the sole discretion of StatusMatch.com" — quota acknowledged, number unpublished.

19 source programmes across 57 published routes. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

Alaska Airlines — Atmos Rewards

Challenge
ApplyNo published deadlineOpen-ended — the operator may withdraw it without notice.
Status grantedSee the published ruleA 90-day trial, then a START-MONTH RULE rather than a date: "If your status is matched before June 30 of a calendar year ... you will keep your status through the end of the applicable calendar year. If your status is matched between July 1 and December 31 of a calendar year ... you will keep your status through the end of the next calendar year." The marketing prose says "by June" where the terms say "before June 30", so a 30 June match resolves differently under each — recorded, not reconciled.
  • Run by Alaska Airlines
  • Cost Free
  • Not open to UK residents
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Keeping it Within the 90-day trial, earn base points on flights MARKETED by Alaska or Hawaiian AND OPERATED by Alaska, Hawaiian, Horizon or SkyWest: 5,000 for Silver, 10,000 for Gold, 20,000 for Platinum. "Codeshare flights operated by other airlines, flights on Alaska Global Partners, award travel, and bonus points do not count toward keeping your status. Saver fares booked in X class are excluded."

Repeat One per account, ever: "The status match offer is a one-time only offer; a member may only receive one status match for the lifetime of their account."

Where "Offer valid only for legal residents of the United States and Canada."

4 source programmes across 12 published routes. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

Hilton Honors

Challenge
ApplyNo published deadlineOpen-ended — the operator may withdraw it without notice.
Status grantedUntil 31 March 2028A 90-day trial at Gold, then a FIXED CALENDAR DATE shared by both outcomes: "Stay 6 nights within your 90-day trial period to keep Gold through March 31, 2028" and "Stay 12 nights within your 90-day trial period to upgrade to Diamond status through March 31, 2028." Because the date is fixed rather than relative, an early matcher gets materially more status than a late one, with no rule to smooth it.
  • Run by Hilton
  • Cost Free
  • No residence gate published
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Keeping it 6 paid nights within the 90-day trial keeps Gold; 12 nights within the same window upgrades to Diamond.

Repeat "This benefit is available only once to Members who are currently at Base or Silver tier and have not enrolled in Status Match. Gold and Diamond Members ... these requests will not be processed."

Proof "Submit your programme and stay proof of another competing loyalty programme. The proof of stay must be within the last 24 months." — a STAY requirement, stricter than a status screenshot.

1 source programme across 1 published route. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

IHG One Rewards

Fast track
Apply2 March 2026 – 31 December 2026
Status grantedUntil 31 December 2027Register within the window, then complete the qualifying nights within 90 days; the stay period runs to 10 April 2027 and the granted status is valid to 31 December 2027.
  • Run by Mastercard (with IHG)
  • Cost Free
  • Not open to UK residents
  • Checked 9 August 2026

Keeping it World Legend or World Elite: 6 nights in 90 days → Platinum Elite. World Select or World: 2 nights in 90 days → Gold Elite.

Repeat One registration per cardholder.

Where APAC only, eight markets: India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, South Korea.

1 source programme across 2 published routes. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

IHG One Rewards

Fast track
ApplyUntil 31 December 2026
Status grantedUntil 31 December 2027The 90-day clock starts from IHG's registration-confirmation email, which arrives within 10 business days of registration — not from registration itself. Stay period runs to 10 April 2027; granted status is valid to 31 December 2027. NB only the registration END date is published; the start is not stated in the source and is deliberately left NULL rather than copied across from the Mastercard offer.
  • Run by Visa (with IHG)
  • Cost Free
  • Not open to UK residents
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Keeping it Visa Signature: 2 Promotion Qualifying Nights within 90 days → Gold Elite. Visa Infinite: 6 within the same period → Platinum Elite. A qualifying night is a minimum of one room night on a Qualifying Rate of at least USD 30 (or local equivalent) per night, booked via ihg.com/visaoffer; Reward Nights, Points & Cash and OTA bookings (booking.com, expedia.com) are excluded.

Repeat "Each Visa Cardholder may register only once"; failing within the 90 days means no re-registration.

Where APAC / Oceania, twelve markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific.

1 source programme across 2 published routes. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

Kenya Airways — Asante Rewards

ApplyNo published deadlineOpen-ended — the operator may withdraw it without notice.
Status granted12 months from approval"Your status for 12 months after approval. You will need to re-qualify as per the published program critera [sic] to renew your status."
  • Run by statusmatch.com
  • Cost Fee varies by source TYPE as well as region, and the regional pricing is INVERTED.
  • UK eligible
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Repeat The operator's standard forward lifetime bar (log ADD-3.1: "Same forward lifetime bar … as KM Malta"). Also a published enforcement clause unique to this offer: "In the event of a transaction dispute, the Asante Rewards account used for the transaction will have the elite status suspended immediately without warning."

Where Open to all countries except residents of Argentina, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The UK falls in the cheaper "all other countries" band.

Limits "There is no fixed deadline, but Kenya Airways and StatusMatch.com reserve the right to end or amend the offer at any time."

The published tier mapping for this offer is not yet transcribed here, so no source programmes are listed. That is a gap in our data, not a statement about who qualifies — check the operator’s own page.

Malaysia Airlines — Enrich

Status match
ApplyNo published deadlineOpen-ended — the operator may withdraw it without notice.
Status granted12 months from approvalTwelve consecutive months from approval, ROUNDED UP TO MONTH END: the published worked example grants Gold on 2 July 2026 valid until 31 July 2027. It is twelve months to the last day of the twelfth month, not twelve months to the day.
  • Run by statusmatch.com
  • Cost USD 89 Silver / 199 Gold / 349 Platinum, flat — no regional variation.
  • UK eligible
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Repeat One application per lifetime.

Where 24 countries including Great Britain and the United Kingdom (listed separately, sic). NB the exclusion here is by NATIONALITY, not residence — the offer is open to "individuals who are not Malaysian citizens or nationals", which no other offer on the estate does.

2 source programmes across 6 published routes. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

Qatar Airways — Privilege Club

Fast track
Apply1 January 2026 – 31 December 2026
Status granted12 months from approvalSection 9.4: "The Fast Track offer will be granted only once and will not be renewed. Once a Linked Member attains Silver, Gold or Platinum tier status within Privilege Club Programme, they will retain such status for 12 months." The trigger is the member's first Eligible Flight (section 9.5) — and an Eligible Flight is own metal both ways: "both operated by Qatar Airways and marketed by Qatar Airways".
  • Run by Qatar Airways and Accor (ALLxQATAR Cross Rewards)
  • Cost Free
  • No residence gate published
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Repeat Granted only once; not renewed.

Limits 2026 band, section 9.6: 6,600 Privilege Club Silver and 3,100 Privilege Club Gold fast tracks. The Platinum cell for 2026 reads "(Platinum tier limit exhausted for this year) N/A" after 175/250/300 in years 1–3, and the prose mapping changed to match — section 9.1 now sends ALL Diamond and above to Privilege Club GOLD, not Platinum. The quota is a hard stop, published as such: "In case the maximum number of fast track access per year has been given ... fast track will not be granted."

1 source programme across 3 published routes. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

Royal Air Maroc — Safar Flyer

Status match
ApplyNo published deadlineOpen-ended — the operator may withdraw it without notice.
Status grantedUntil 31 December 2026A fixed calendar date shared by every matcher: status is granted "until December 31, 2026", regardless of when the match is approved.
  • Run by statusmatch.com
  • Cost USD 149 Silver / 349 Gold / 749 Platinum.
  • UK eligible
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Repeat A SOFTER bar than the rest of the estate, and the difference is load-bearing: "(XI) Members that are approved for a status match MAY not be eligible for any potential subsequent status match" — may, where Royal Jordanian, Flying Blue, Vietnam and Enrich all say will not.

Limits Platinum is structurally scarce, not merely quota-limited: of 19 airline sources only four reach it and fifteen show N/A.

4 source programmes across 4 published routes. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

Royal Jordanian — Royal Club

Status match
ApplyNo published deadlineOpen-ended — the operator may withdraw it without notice.
Status granted12 months from approval"(IV) If approved, the status match upgrade is valid for 12 months, after which the member must requalify on merit as per the program rules."
  • Run by statusmatch.com / Loyalty Status Co.
  • Cost USD 149 for Gold Sparrow, USD 49 for Silver Jay ("unless otherwise stated"); no regional variation published.
  • UK eligible
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Repeat Two separate clauses: "(I) Only 1 status match per person will be permitted under this campaign matching to either Royal Club Gold Sparrow or Silver Jay tiers." AND a forward lifetime bar — "(XI) Members that are approved for a status match will not be eligible for any potential subsequent status match with Royal Club."

Where 24 countries in the FAQ, 25 in the terms; the terms list both "England" and "UK" separately, which is a drafting divergence, not a wider scope. Includes Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Netherlands, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Turkey, UAE, UK.

Proof Royal Club membership number, the other programme's status number/card or proof, a photo of the status card, a valid email, and conditional eKYC photo ID (local passport, driving licence or national photo ID). Canada: valid Canadian passport only.

Limits "(X) The Status Match offer is limited in number of matches and timeframe at the sole discretion of StatusMatch.com and Royal Jordanian Airlines. It may end at any time." — quota acknowledged, number unpublished.

16 source programmes across 27 published routes. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

United Airlines — MileagePlus

Apply8 January 2026 – 21 December 2026
Status grantedSee the published ruleA four-stage clock, the only one captured: apply → approval within 14 business days → an activating United or United Express flight within 90 days of approval (or within the previous 30 days if indicated at application) → Premier status for 120 days → a PQF/PQP challenge to carry the status into the next programme year.
  • Run by United Airlines
  • Cost Free
  • No residence gate published
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Keeping it During the 120-day challenge, earn both the flights and the points for the tier: Premier Silver 5 PQF + 1,700 PQP; Premier Gold 10 PQF + 3,400 PQP; Premier Platinum 15 PQF + 5,000 PQP; Premier 1K 20 PQF + 7,500 PQP. PQF must be on flights operated by United or United Express; PQP may also come from eligible United Chase card purchases.

Where No residence gate published; a global offer, with regional variants run separately (see ua-status-match-london-2026).

The published tier mapping for this offer is not yet transcribed here, so no source programmes are listed. That is a gap in our data, not a statement about who qualifies — check the operator’s own page.

United Airlines — MileagePlus

Apply15 June 2026 – 30 September 2026Closes in 30 days
Status grantedSee the published ruleSame shape as the global offer — activating flight within 90 days of approval (or the previous 30), then 120 days of Premier status — except that the activating flight must be "from or to London Heathrow (LHR)", and the page states the matched status is kept "through 2027" rather than through the next programme year. No calendar date is published for that grant, so granted_valid_until is left NULL rather than invented.
  • Run by United Airlines
  • Cost Free
  • UK eligible
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Keeping it PQF is genuinely reduced to a FLAT 2 at every tier (against 5/10/15/20 globally). PQP is NOT reduced: 1,700 Silver / 3,400 Gold / 5,000 Platinum / 7,500 1K, identical to the global offer at every tier.

Where UK-targeted; the activating flight must route from or to London Heathrow.

The published tier mapping for this offer is not yet transcribed here, so no source programmes are listed. That is a gap in our data, not a statement about who qualifies — check the operator’s own page.

Repeat Per-campaign cap of one plus a forward lifetime bar, same two-clause architecture as Royal Jordanian and Flying Blue.

Where 33 residence countries INCLUDING the United Kingdom. The card-match route is limited to residents of "Australia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Malaysia" (Singapore duplicated in the source, sic).

Limits "limited in number of matches and time frame at the sole discretion of StatusMatch.com and Vietnam Airlines" — quota acknowledged, number unpublished.

2 source programmes across 6 published routes. Only sources in our own programme registry are listed.

Virgin Atlantic — Flying Club

Status match
ApplyNo published deadlineOpen-ended — the operator may withdraw it without notice.
Status granted12 months from approvalTwelve months from the UPGRADE, and the upgrade is anchored to a FUTURE booking: "We'll upgrade your status 72 hours before your qualifying flight." So the clock starts at an event the applicant schedules, unlike every fee-paid offer on the operator estate, where it starts at approval.
  • Run by Virgin Atlantic (the airline itself)
  • Cost Free
  • No residence gate published
  • Checked 31 August 2026

Keeping it Retain Gold with 1,000 tier points, or Silver with 400 tier points, within the Membership Period.

Repeat A five-year rolling cooldown, not a lifetime bar: "This offer is not available to Members who have received Flying Club Gold or Silver status via status match within the previous five (5) years, except where expressly stated otherwise." The trailing exception is what makes recurring waves (e.g. the historic Feb 2026 BA wave) possible.

Where No residence gate published or captured.

Proof "a photo or digital scan of your member card including your full name, status level and expiry date of your current status. Your matching status must be valid when you travel." — note the FORWARD requirement: validity is tested at travel, not only at application.

Frequently asked questions

What is a status match?

An offer that grants you elite status in one loyalty programme on the strength of status you already hold somewhere else. Three shapes appear here. A match hands over the tier outright. A challenge grants it on trial and takes it back unless you fly or stay enough within a set window. A fast track shortens the ordinary qualification requirement, usually for holders of a particular credit card. The difference matters, so every offer on this page is labelled with which one it is.

Why does every offer show two dates?

Because an offer has two independent clocks and conflating them is the commonest way to get this wrong. The apply window is how long you have to put an application in; most offers publish none at all and simply reserve the right to end at any time. The granted validity is how long the status you receive then lasts, and it comes in genuinely different shapes — twelve months from approval, a fixed calendar date shared by everyone regardless of when they matched, or a rule with no date in it whatsoever. We show each clock as its publisher states it rather than normalising them into one span.

Who runs the paid offers, and do you take a commission?

Several airline matches are administered by StatusMatch.com, an independent operator that is not the airline and is not us. The fees shown are the operator's own, quoted from its published terms on the date we checked, and they change without notice. Status Lark earns no commission, referral fee or other payment from any offer listed here, and no offer has paid for its placement. We list free airline-run offers and paid third-party ones side by side on exactly the same terms.

Why do some offers say no residence gate is published?

Because none is. Residence eligibility has three honest states, not two: an offer may publish a list of countries that includes the UK, publish one that excludes it, or say nothing about where you live at all. We show all three distinctly. Where nothing is published we say so rather than reading it as a yes or a no — and if you live outside the UK, read the offer's own geography note, which we reproduce in full.

Why do you still show offers that have ended?

Because these offers recur. Several run as annual waves, and a reader who half-remembers one is better served by being told it closed on a particular date than by finding nothing and assuming they looked in the wrong place. Ended offers appear under their own heading, clearly separated from what is live, and never in the matcher results.

Why does an offer list no source programmes?

Because we have not yet transcribed its published mapping, not because nothing qualifies. A few offers publish their source tiers as a long selector rather than a table, and we would rather say the mapping is missing than invent one. Those offers still appear, with their terms, and the card says which state it is in. Follow the link to the operator's own page for the current list.

Status Lark is an independent calculator and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any airline, hotel group or match operator. We earn no commission from any offer listed; fees shown are the operator’s own, quoted from their published terms on the date checked. Offer terms change without notice — always read the operator’s current terms before applying. See how we source this.
