Aegean Miles+Bonus Changes from 5 November 2026
For keeping a tier, which rules apply depends on when your retention period ends. If it ends on or before 4 November 2026, the current rules decide whether you keep your tier; if it ends on or after 5 November 2026, the new rules apply. The new rules for moving up a tier apply from 5 November 2026. For a period ending soon after 5 November 2026, plan on the new rules: Aegean's terms apply them to any period ending from that date (see below).
Estimates only — confirm with the airline. Aegean's rules change on 5 November 2026. Check your own period end date in your Miles+Bonus account and on Aegean's own pages before you plan flights around it.

Keeping your tier: old and new
| Tier | Period ending on or before 4 November 2026 | Period ending on or after 5 November 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Silver | 8,000 tier miles including 2 Aegean or Olympic Air flights, or 35,000 tier miles | 16 Aegean or Olympic Air flights, or 9,000 tier miles including 4 such flights, or 36,000 tier miles |
| Gold | 12,000 tier miles including 4 Aegean or Olympic Air flights, or 70,000 tier miles | 32 Aegean or Olympic Air flights, or 18,000 tier miles including 12 such flights, or 72,000 tier miles |
| Platinum (new) | — | 72,000 tier miles, earned only from flights, including 32 Aegean or Olympic Air flights |
Under both the current and the new rules you have a fixed 12-month period to keep your tier. Aegean's current Silver and Gold pages say that period runs from the date you moved up or renewed. Aegean also says the new retention rules apply to each member after their next tier expiration or renewal date, and that every member will have at least 12 months to collect what is needed. Its news item dated 4 November 2025 says a transition period of at least 12 months is foreseen, and a 12-month period ending on or after 5 November 2026 started after that date. We read the two statements as fitting together on that basis, but that is our inference: Aegean does not say so in those words. Aegean's terms make no exception for a period ending soon after 5 November 2026. If your period ends soon after that date, plan on the new rules, and ask Aegean if you expected otherwise.
Aegean's own example: a Silver member whose period ended on 14 May 2025 and who kept Silver to 14 May 2026 must meet the new rules to renew on 14 May 2027. The same example is given for Gold.
Moving up a tier
| Move | Until 4 November 2026 | From 5 November 2026 (within 12 months) |
|---|---|---|
| Blue to Silver | 12,000 tier miles within 12 months with at least 2 Aegean or Olympic Air flights, or 35,000 tier miles | 16 Aegean or Olympic Air flights, or 12,000 tier miles including 4 such flights, or 36,000 tier miles |
| Silver to Gold | 24,000 tier miles within 12 months with at least 4 Aegean or Olympic Air flights, or 70,000 tier miles | 32 Aegean or Olympic Air flights, or 24,000 tier miles including 12 such flights, or 72,000 tier miles |
| Gold to Platinum | — | 72,000 tier miles, earned only from flights, including at least 32 Aegean or Olympic Air flights |
The figures for moving up are steps from the tier below: Aegean lists the Gold bars as what you need "from Silver tier". Until 4 November 2026, Blue members can still reach Silver and Silver members can still reach Gold under the current rules.
Platinum is a new top tier. Platinum members get Star Alliance Gold privileges across all member airlines.
Already part-way through your period? Open the tier run planner to see how far you are from Silver or Gold on the any-airline route. It does not show Platinum or the routes that depend on Aegean or Olympic Air flights. The tier you hold and your balance stay in your browser.
Do flights before 5 November count towards Platinum?
Aegean's pages point to yes but do not say so directly. Its "what is changing" pages measure the new Platinum bar over "the last 12 months". On 5 November 2026 all of those months fall before that date. Its terms measure it over 12 consecutive months from the oldest flight that earned miles which have not expired or been used for an upgrade, after you reached or kept Gold. Neither says that flights taken before 5 November 2026 are left out. Check your tier miles in your account, or ask Aegean, before you rely on flights taken before 5 November.
One of Aegean's FAQ headings refers to a tier expiring on "November 4th, 2025"; the answer beneath it gives 04/11/2026 and 5 November 2026, matching the rest of the page.
