What does 'stays at different brands' mean?

For Platinum and Titanium, the third route counts Eligible Stays at hotels of different GHA member brands, so two stays at hotels of the same brand count once, and NH Hotels, NH Collection and nhow count as one brand. Gold's stays route counts any separate stays. The calculator checks separate stays against Gold and member brands against Platinum and Titanium.

How long does GHA DISCOVERY status last?

From the moment you qualify until the end of the following calendar year. To keep it, meet the same minimum again in that year; otherwise you drop one tier.

GHA DISCOVERY

GHA DISCOVERY is the programme of the Global Hotel Alliance, a group of independent hotel brands. Members start at Silver, and Gold, Platinum and Titanium are each earned in a calendar year in any one of several ways. Gold takes separate stays or Net Eligible Spend in US dollars; Platinum and Titanium take Eligible Nights, Net Eligible Spend, or stays at hotels of a number of different member brands.

Once earned, a tier lasts for the rest of that year and all of the next; requalify or drop one tier. Status Lark shows the published thresholds and how far you are from each tier on nights, stays, spend and different member brands stayed at; DISCOVERY Dollars are not calculated.

Status runs from qualifying through the rest of that year and the whole next calendar year; requalify each year or drop one tier.
Platinum: 10 Eligible Nights OR USD 5,000 Net Eligible Spend in one calendar year, OR 2 Eligible Stays at hotels within different Member Brands (a count of brands stayed, not of stays, so not stored as a stays threshold). Requalify each year or drop one tier.
Titanium: 30 Eligible Nights OR USD 15,000 Net Eligible Spend in one calendar year, OR 3 Eligible Stays at hotels within different Member Brands (a count of brands stayed, not stored as a stays threshold). Requalify each year or drop one tier.
