Earning

Status by card or membership
These grant a Hilton Honors tier outright while the product is held. They add no qualifying nights, points or spend — they confer the tier instead.
- Hilton Honors American Express (no fee)US-issued productAutomatic Silver status; no separate night credits.
- Hilton Honors American Express AspireUS-issued productAutomatic Diamond status for as long as the card is open (grants status directly, not elite-night credits).
- Hilton Honors American Express SurpassUS-issued productAutomatic Gold status while the card is open. USD 40,000 of card spend in a calendar year lifts that to Diamond, which then runs to the end of the FOLLOWING calendar year. Status is granted directly — this card adds no elite night credits.
