BA Tier Points Calculator
The British Airways Club (formerly the Executive Club) awards Tier Points on eligible spend rather than distance: since April 2025 you earn 1 Tier Point per £1 of fare and carrier surcharges (government taxes excluded), and since 1 April 2026 a flat bonus per flight that depends on cabin and fare type — the fare type printed on your booking confirmation, never the booking-class letter.

Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what The British Airways Club publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over a qualification window of the same length as the reaching figure’s (the window above says how it is anchored). It shows today's figures, not the announced ladder's. A dash means no retention figure comparable with the reaching one is shown for that rung, not that renewal is automatic; where the programme publishes one over a different window, its note gives it.
Requirements beyond the threshold
- Gold Guest List — At least 52,000 Tier Points must come from British Airways-marketed flights or associated ancillaries and British Airways Holidays packages.
These apply in addition to the Tier Points figure, so reaching the number alone does not confer the tier.
Tier Points are earned on spend: 1 Tier Point per £1 of eligible spend (fare plus carrier charges) on BA flights, plus a bonus set by cabin and fare type. Economy Basic fares earn no bonus, so choose the Economy Basic fare type for them; Reward Flights and Avios upgrades are also excluded from the bonus, but the calculator has no setting for them. Figures assume British Airways can see the fare you paid; where it cannot (some tickets sold by partner airlines or agents, and BA Holidays packages) it uses a distance-and-cabin calculation instead. Flying 25 flights with a BA code reaches Bronze and 50 reaches Silver, as an alternative to points. Tier Points expire at the end of each collection year (31 March), but they accrue to lifetime tier points. The 65,000 rung is what BA's conditions of use set out as Concorde Room eligibility; they do not use the name Gold Guest List. It takes 65,000 Tier Points in one collection year, at least 52,000 of them from British Airways-marketed flights or associated ancillaries and British Airways Holidays packages, then 40,000 in each later year, at least 32,000 of them on the same basis.

Changing on 1 April 2027
British Airways says that from 1 April 2027 the tier points needed in a collection year are Bronze 3,500, Silver 8,000 and Gold 21,000 (Blue 0). Silver and Gold rise from 7,500 and 20,000; Bronze stays at 3,500. The ladder above is for the collection year 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 and does not change until the new collection year starts on 1 April 2027. The About tier points page gives no Gold Guest List figure for either year.
From 1 April 2027 the tier point milestone rewards are 5,750 tier points for 2,500 bonus Avios, 12,000 for 4,000 and 17,000 for 5,000 (up from 5,500, 11,000 and 16,000 tier points; the Avios amounts are the same).
British Airways' Tier points on flights page also lists lower extra tier points for Club World and First fares, the World Traveller Plus Premium Economy fare, and American Airlines and Iberia long-haul premium economy, business and first class. The previous rates keep applying to flights departing between 1 April 2026 and 31 March 2027, whenever booked, and to flights booked before 25 November 2026, whenever they are flown; the lower rates apply only to flights from 1 April 2027 that were booked on or after 25 November 2026. - How are BA Tier Points calculated?
- Since 1 April 2025, British Airways awards 1 Tier Point per £1 of eligible spend (base fare plus carrier-imposed surcharges, excluding government taxes). Since 1 April 2026 it adds a fixed bonus per flight, set by the cabin and the fare type printed on your booking confirmation (for example "Club World Semi-Flex") — the booking-class letter is not an input to the bonus at all. A long-haul Club World fare adds a flat bonus on top of the per-pound earning. Flights on American Airlines and Iberia ticketed through BA follow the same model; other oneworld partner flights earn by route and cabin.
- When does the BA tier year run?
- The collection year runs from 1 April to 31 March for all members, and Tier Points accumulate across it towards an absolute threshold: the counter is not reduced when you reach a tier, and only points earned inside the current year count. Tier Points expire at the end of each collection year rather than carrying over, though they still count towards lifetime tier points.
