Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what The British Airways Club publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure. A dash means no retention figure comparable with the reaching one is shown for that rung, not that renewal is automatic; where the programme publishes one over a different window, its note gives it.
Requirements beyond the threshold
- Gold Guest List — At least 52,000 Tier Points must come from British Airways-marketed flights.
These apply in addition to the Tier Points figure, so reaching the number alone does not confer the tier.
Tier Points are earned on spend: 1 Tier Point per £1 of eligible spend (fare plus carrier charges) on BA flights, plus a bonus set by cabin and fare type. Economy Basic fares earn no bonus, so choose the Economy Basic fare type for them; Reward Flights and Avios upgrades are also excluded from the bonus, but the calculator has no setting for them. Figures assume British Airways can see the fare you paid; where it cannot (some tickets sold by partner airlines or agents, and BA Holidays packages) it uses a distance-and-cabin calculation instead. Flying 25 flights with a BA code reaches Bronze and 50 reaches Silver, as an alternative to points. Tier Points expire at the end of each collection year (31 March), but they accrue to lifetime tier points.
