These apply in addition to the Tier Miles figure, so reaching the number alone does not confer the tier.
Progression is measured over ‘a consecutive twelve months’ on a rolling basis, not a fixed membership year. The terms reset the tier-mile balance to zero at each tier review and measure progress within the current card’s validity, but do not say whether an upgrade between reviews restarts the count; if it does, Gold Sparrow from a standing start is 55,000 tier miles rather than the 40,000 shown. Royal Jordanian publishes two different maintenance windows for Platinum Hawk: the terms' qualification table says 12 months, but the terms' prose and the marketing page say 24 (110,000 tier miles or 80 segments), so two of the three statements say 24. Segment counting has a trap: Amman–Aqaba, Amman–Tel Aviv and any R-class Royal Jordanian ticket count as half a segment. The terms also require 4, 10 and 20 Royal Jordanian flights at Silver, Gold and Platinum; Royal Jordanian appears not to have enforced this since around November 2024, but it can enforce it at any time, so treat a partner-only route as possible but not guaranteed.
