Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what FlySmiLes publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure. A dash means no retention figure comparable with the reaching one is shown for that rung, not that renewal is automatic; where the programme publishes one over a different window, its note gives it.
Requirements beyond the threshold
- Classic — At least 1 SriLankan Airlines sector.
- Gold — At least 20,000 Tier Miles or 20 sectors on SriLankan Airlines.
- Platinum — At least 30,000 Tier Miles or 30 sectors on SriLankan Airlines.
These apply in addition to the Tier Miles figure, so reaching the number alone does not confer the tier.
The qualification window is rolling — miles earned in the preceding 12 months count — although the tier is reviewed annually, at the 12th month, with card validity of 13 months. Classic reaches at 20,000 Tier Miles or 20 sectors, Gold at 40,000 or 40 sectors and Platinum at 60,000 or 60, with at least half on SriLankan Airlines for Gold and Platinum; every tier renews at a lower threshold (Classic 15,000, Gold 35,000, Platinum 55,000, with matching sector routes). Silver sits outside the flown ladder and is granted only to SriLankan co-branded credit card holders. Tier Miles equal the miles earned, percentage for percentage, on SriLankan and on each of the 12 partners the calculator supports; the Platinum 25% and Gold 15% tier bonus raises reward miles only.
