Qantas Status Credits Calculator

Qantas Frequent Flyer awards Status Credits as a fixed amount per flight, set by the route's region pair and the fare type you buy — a flexible Business fare earns far more than a discount Economy seat on the same sector.

Enter your route, cabin and fare type below for the Status Credits on Qantas or Oneworld partner flights. Figures for major region pairs are calibrated against Qantas's official calculator (August 2026); routes outside the mapped regions fall back to a distance-band estimate and should be treated as indicative.

Qantas Frequent Flyer status tiers

Qantas Frequent Flyer tier ladder
TierStatus Credits required from zero
Silver300
Gold700
Platinum1,400
Platinum One3,600

Retention is lower at every tier below Platinum One: Silver keeps at 250, Gold at 600, Platinum at 1,200 Status Credits. Each of those tiers also needs four flights with a Qantas (QF) or Jetstar (JQ or GK) flight number on the ticket, to reach the tier and again to keep it. Platinum One instead requires at least 2,700 of its 3,600 Status Credits on Qantas (QF)-numbered flights. Thresholds count within a Qantas Membership Year, which is personal to each member: it starts on the first day of the month after the month you joined the programme and runs for twelve months, so there is no programme-wide reset date. Renewal at the same threshold for Platinum One, stated on the status-tiers page (capture Y, 11 Sep 2026): its ‘Status Credits required to keep’ row is the same 3,600, including at least 2,700 on flights with a Qantas (QF) flight number on the ticket.

Frequently asked questions

How are Qantas Status Credits calculated?
Qantas uses a region-based earn structure: each flight earns a fixed Status Credits amount from the route's region pair crossed with the fare's earn category, with distance bands only as a fallback for unmapped routes — that fallback also applies to some of our figures, which are then marked indicative. Select the fare brand in the calculator where offered; it changes the earn category.
How many Status Credits do I need for each tier?
The ladder below shows the thresholds from Silver through Platinum One. Status Credits accumulate across the membership year toward those totals, and the counter is not reduced when you reach a tier. Qantas additionally requires a minimum number of eligible Qantas-marketed sectors at most tiers; that sits outside a per-flight calculation and is not modelled here.
Do Jetstar and partner flights earn Status Credits?
Eligible Jetstar and Oneworld partner flights credited to Qantas Frequent Flyer earn Status Credits by route and fare class. Enter the operating carrier in the calculator to check a specific flight.
