Elite tiers
| Tier | miles required |
|---|---|
| Silver | 20,000 |
| Gold | 40,000 |
| Platinum | 70,000 |
| Presidential | 90,000 |
Minimum 4 flown Copa Airlines segments per year required at every tier. Segment alternative: Silver 20, Gold 35, Platinum 65, Presidential 85 segments. Basic fares earn half the miles and segments. Partner earning comes from Copa’s own 25 published charts. One limit worth knowing: Avianca is the only partner Copa publishes in AWARD miles rather than in a single column serving both currencies, and it converts at 1 qualifying mile per 2 award miles — except on seven named routes (BOG–MAD, BOG–CDG, BOG–BCN, BOG–LHR, CLO–MAD, MAD–MDE and SAL–MAD), where it is 1:1 from 1 July 2026. The general 1:2 rate is modelled, so Avianca flights on those seven city pairs are understated here by exactly half. Copa's own-metal chart is fare-family keyed (Business Full 300% / Promo 175% / Economy Full 175% / Classic 100% / Basic 50% Qualifying Miles, minimum 500 miles; letters G/I/N/P/X/Z published as earning nothing) — pick a fare family for an own-metal figure. Qualifying Segments are disclosed, not computed.
