Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what Miles&Smiles publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure. A dash means no retention figure comparable with the reaching one is shown for that rung, not that renewal is automatic; where the programme publishes one over a different window, its note gives it.
Qualification runs on Status Miles earned in the preceding 12 months, checked daily, so the total can fall as well as rise. Status lasts 2 years; renewal is lower and measured over two periods (Classic Plus 17,000 Status Miles or 30 flights in the first year, or 35,000 or 60 across both; Elite Plus 40,000 or 60,000). Elite renews on 25,000 or 37,500 for members living abroad, including the UK, and 30,000 or 45,000 in Türkiye. The Business uplift for Classic Plus, Elite and Elite Plus cardholders on Turkish's own international flights (175% in C and D, 160% in K, J and Z) is not yet selectable, so figures are at the Classic base. N and R are unpublished on Turkish metal and show an unknown rate. Turkish also sells Status Miles at USD 70 including VAT per 1,000, only to close a gap of 5,000 (a Classic upgrade or a Classic Plus renewal) or 10,000 (any other upgrade or renewal), up to 10,000 in 12 months; and Miles from a Miles&Smiles co-brand card convert at 5 to 1 Status Mile, up to 40,000 a year, only on cards issued by banks in Türkiye, the USA, Germany, Azerbaijan, Jordan and Georgia.
