Platinum confers SkyTeam Elite Plus — the lowest tier in this programme with alliance-wide lounge access. Alliance mapping last verified 7 August 2026. Conditions beyond the threshold: The segment route is contested: Aeroméxico's terms (updated January 2026) abolish Qualifying Segments as a route to any level from 1 January 2026, while its per-tier pages still print an 80-segment alternative. The contract governs — plan on points; Basic Economy (class V) earns no eligible points. Compare lounge access across programmes →

Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what Aeroméxico Rewards publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure. “Same as to reach” means Aeroméxico Rewards says the same figure that reaches the tier keeps it. A dash means no retention figure comparable with the reaching one is shown for that rung, not that renewal is automatic; where the programme publishes one over a different window, its note gives it.

Qualification runs on the calendar year (1 January to 31 December), and the same threshold both reaches and keeps a tier. Own metal earns 8 qualifying points per US dollar before tax, and Basic Economy (class V) earns none. Since 1 January 2026 qualifying points are also granted on ancillaries (8 per US dollar on seat selection and Premier upgrades, 4 per US dollar on Vacations packages), which is not modelled here; this contradicts Aeroméxico's tier pages, which describe status as earned exclusively by flying. Qualifying segments are no longer a route to any level from 1 January 2026, with tickets bought on or before 31 December 2025 grandfathered. Aeroméxico publishes no per-partner rate, so a partner segment shows an unknown rate rather than a zero.

Reaching this status

Aeroméxico Rewards publishes conditions that sit alongside the Points threshold, so reaching the number on its own does not confer the tier. They are shown here and never scored — the Lark Score measures Points earned and nothing else. Where the published wording says more than the summary line, the wording governs.

Own-flight minimum — reaching a tier

  • At least 80% of your Points on flights with Aeroméxico or Delta Air Lines.

Applies when qualifying for a tier.

Published wording, with our annotations
A minimum of 80,000 Aeromexico Rewards Points must have been obtained with Aeromexico or Delta. The 20,000 remaining Aeromexico Rewards Points can be earned on SkyTeam or Aeromexico flights. What a return earns

  • LHR–NYC (JFK or EWR): no figure — no rule captured. No published rate captured for this carrier pair in any of the cabin's booking classes — not a statement that it earns nothing.
  • LHR–CDG: no figure — no rule captured. No published rate captured for this carrier pair in any of the cabin's booking classes — not a statement that it earns nothing.
