Elite tiers

Emerald confers SkyTeam Elite Plus — the lowest tier in this programme with alliance-wide lounge access. Alliance mapping last verified 4 October 2026. Dynasty Flyer resets your qualifying balance when you reach a tier. The middle column is the total from a standing start; the last column is what a member who has just qualified for the tier below still has to earn.

China Airlines' ladder is sequential: each upgrade is assessed over any rolling 12 consecutive months during your current tier, so the points that earned one tier do not count again for the next, except the surplus, which carries forward for 12 months as rollover points. China Airlines prints the steps, not the totals; the figures shown are totals from a standing start: Gold 360, Emerald 1,080 (a further 720) and Paragon 2,480 (a further 1,400). Half of each step must be earned on China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines self-operated flights. Tiers are valid for two years, and renewal uses different thresholds over that window (Gold 580, Emerald 1,150, Paragon 2,240 Status Points, half on own metal). Own-metal earning is a flat Status Point value by destination band and booking class; S and X promotional tickets earn no Status Points, and O, I, Z and P earn nothing. Codeshare flights use a separate, much lower set of values that is not modelled, so a China Airlines-marketed codeshare shows an unknown rate, as do Mandarin Airlines domestic flights.
