Egret Miles at a glance
- Egret Miles has 4 elite tiers, from Egret Silver at 20 points to Egret Diamond at 120 points.
- Annual qualifying period — points accumulate across the full year.
- Egret Platinum (70 points) is the lowest tier with SkyTeam Elite Plus lounge access.
- On the reference route LHR–NYC (JFK or EWR), flown by Delta Air Lines, one economy return earns 1 points in booking class Y, the highest-earning economy class we hold for that flight. That is 20 returns to Egret Silver from zero.
- Partner earning is capped: at most 40 points a calendar year — Qualifying Points from flights other than XiamenAir Group own metal: codeshare flights, SkyTeam partner flights and China Southern flights, pooled.

Egret Platinum confers SkyTeam Elite Plus — the lowest tier in this programme with alliance-wide lounge access. Alliance mapping last verified 6 August 2026. Conditions beyond the threshold: Spend-based Qualifying Points (roughly 1 QP per ¥1,000 of fare and carrier charges — earning rate provisional); Status runs to 31 December of the following year; surplus Qualifying Points carry over. Compare lounge access across programmes →
Qualifying Points have been spend-based since 25 July 2026: own-metal flights earn (base fare plus fuel surcharge) ÷ CNY 1,000, plus 1 per flight, except on a connecting XiamenAir Group through-ticket, where each segment earns a flat 0.5 QP with the fare prorated by distance. SkyTeam partner flights earn a flat 0.5 QP per segment (Qatar Airways flights earn none), and partner-flown Qualifying Points are capped at 40 a calendar year, so Elite Plus (70 QP) cannot be reached on partner flying alone; that cap comes from a read of XiamenAir's earning pages that we have not yet re-verified. Status runs to 31 December of the following year, and surplus Qualifying Points carry over to the next calendar year.

Reaching this status
Egret Miles publishes conditions that sit alongside the points threshold, so reaching the number on its own does not confer the tier. They are shown here and never scored — the Lark Score measures points earned and nothing else. Where the published wording says more than the summary line, the wording governs.
Partner earning is capped
- 40 points is the most that counts in a calendar year from Qualifying Points from flights other than XiamenAir Group own metal: codeshare flights, SkyTeam partner flights and China Southern flights, pooled. Two sub-caps sit inside the 40: a maximum of 10 QP a year from ecosystem spend, and a maximum of 10 QP a year converted from Egret miles. Partner flights earn a flat 0.5 QP per segment, so the cap is reached at 80 partner sectors and Platinum (70 QP) cannot be attained on partner flying alone. XiamenAir does not publish whether non-731 ticket stock on XiamenAir Group metal (Hebei NS, Jiangxi RY) counts against the cap, and this row does not resolve it.
This is an annual limit across everything that counts toward it, so a single-trip calculation cannot tell how much of it you have already used. We show the cap rather than apply it. It is shared with non-flight partners as well as flying.
Reported in August 2026 from XiamenAir's partner earning page and relayed to us second-hand rather than read here, so treat the figure as indicative until we have verified it at source.

Egret Miles: questions and answers
- How many points do I need for Egret Miles status?
- From a standing start: Egret Silver 20 points, Egret Gold 40 points, Egret Platinum 70 points, Egret Diamond 120 points.
- Which Egret Miles tier gives lounge access?
- Egret Platinum, at 70 points, is the lowest tier that confers SkyTeam Elite Plus, with lounge access across the alliance. Conditions beyond the threshold: Spend-based Qualifying Points (roughly 1 QP per ¥1,000 of fare and carrier charges — earning rate provisional); Status runs to 31 December of the following year; surplus Qualifying Points carry over.
- How many flights does it take to reach Egret Miles status?
- On the reference route LHR–NYC (JFK or EWR), flown by Delta Air Lines, one economy return earns 1 points in booking class Y, the highest-earning economy class we hold for that flight. On that basis, the economy returns needed from zero are: Egret Silver 20, Egret Gold 40, Egret Platinum not reachable on this flight alone (capped at 40 points a year), Egret Diamond not reachable on this flight alone (capped at 40 points a year). Earning on this flight is capped at 40 points a year, so higher tiers need flights the cap does not cover. Other cabins, classes and routes earn differently; the calculator on this page prices your own trip.
- Is there a limit on points from partners?
- Yes: at most 40 points a calendar year — Qualifying Points from flights other than XiamenAir Group own metal: codeshare flights, SkyTeam partner flights and China Southern flights, pooled.
