Elite tiers
| Tier | miles required from zero | To retain |
|---|---|---|
| Silver | 10,000 | 10,000 |
| Gold | 20,000 | 15,000 |
| Platinum SkyTeam Elite Plus | 30,000 | 25,000 |
Platinum confers SkyTeam Elite Plus — the lowest tier in this programme with alliance-wide lounge access. Alliance mapping last verified 31 August 2026 (not yet confirmed against an official source). Conditions beyond the threshold: Tier Miles are counted within a 12-month activity period, from a standing start; 60 eligible flights is an alternative route. Keeping a tier is a different bar from reaching it. The last column is what GarudaMiles publishes for a member who already holds the tier, over the same qualification window as the reaching figure. A dash means no retention figure comparable with the reaching one is shown for that rung, not that renewal is automatic; where the programme publishes one over a different window, its note gives it.
Thresholds are absolute Tier Miles accumulated within one 12-month activity period; Garuda publishes no reset on reaching a tier, only at the period boundary, where the counter does not carry forward. The flight-count alternative to reach is Silver 10, Gold 20, Platinum 60 eligible flights. Maintenance is published for every rung and is lower above Silver: Silver 10,000 or 10 flights, Gold 15,000 or 20, Platinum 25,000 or 55. Own-metal earning follows Garuda's accrual table effective 8 September 2025: W is filed as Economy at 80%, and the 2% band earns miles but no flight count. Partner flights show an unknown rate because Garuda publishes no partner rate table, and the five airlines in its partner index that are outside SkyTeam (Singapore, Emirates, JAL, Qatar, Etihad) earn Award Miles only.

- On the reference route LHR–NYC (JFK or EWR), flown by Delta Air Lines, one economy return earns 6,902 miles in booking class Y, the highest-earning economy class we hold for that flight.
- LHR–CDG: no figure — no rule captured. No published rate captured for this carrier pair in any of the cabin's booking classes — not a statement that it earns nothing.
| Tier | miles | Economy returns |
|---|---|---|
| Silver | 10,000 | 2 |
| Gold | 20,000 | 3 |
